Eastgate
A running club for people who are not runners yet
Two sessions a week, no membership fee, and a rule that the group runs at the pace of the slowest person in it.
How it works
Four rules, and only four
Nobody is left behind
The back marker is a volunteer and the group waits. Every session, without exception.
No membership fee
There is a collection twice a year for the insurance, and that is all.
Turn up without warning
No need to tell us, sign up or bring anything but shoes.
Walking counts
Several of us started by walking the whole thing.
